Stores that sell while you work.

We build online stores for Adelaide businesses on WooCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce or fully custom, then keep them running. Payments, shipping, subscriptions and a team your staff can actually call.

An online store is a system, not a website. Payments, shipping, stock, tax, refunds and the accounting behind them all have to work together, every day, without you thinking about it. That is the difference between a store that sells and a cart bolted onto a brochure.

Webgrid builds ecommerce for Adelaide and South Australian businesses on whichever platform fits: WooCommerce when your team wants full control on WordPress, Shopify or BigCommerce when a hosted platform is the right tool, custom when off-the-shelf will not do. We are a software and IT studio first, so the integrations behind the storefront are the part we are best at.

We built a McLaren Vale winery a full online store and membership club that now takes orders while the team is out in the vineyard. Your store should work that hard too.

Questions, answered straight.

WooCommerce or Shopify: which should we use?

It depends on your products, margins and team. WooCommerce gives you full control and no per-sale platform fees but needs proper hosting and care. Shopify and BigCommerce are quicker to run day to day and charge for the privilege. We have built on both WooCommerce and Shopify, we work with BigCommerce too, and we will recommend the one that fits with the reasoning in writing.

What does an online store cost?

Each store is quoted individually, in writing, before any commitment. The number depends on your catalogue, integrations and platform, and we will give you a fixed figure rather than an hourly estimate that grows.

Can our staff run the store themselves?

That is the goal. We set stores up so your team add products, change prices and handle orders without calling a developer, and we show them how in plain language before launch.

Can you do subscriptions or a members club?

Yes. Recurring billing, member pricing and club management are a specialty. We built a winery a wine club alongside its store, and our Members One platform runs memberships as a product in its own right.

We already have a store but it is underperforming.

We audit what is there: speed, checkout friction, shipping setup, and what the numbers say people do before abandoning. Then we fix the store you have or make the case for moving, whichever the evidence supports.

Do you connect the store to our accounting and stock?

Yes, and it is often the highest-value part of the job. Orders flowing into your accounting and stock staying accurate across systems removes hours of weekly admin. Integrations are the software side of what we do all day.

Store on WordPress? We do that properly too.
