The problem.
JP Mortgages are an award-winning mortgage broking team in Aldinga, serving the Fleurieu Peninsula and wider South Australia. They came to webgrid running a standard WordPress website that had cost them tens of thousands of dollars. For that money they did not get flexibility: the team had no way to manage the site themselves, and even small changes were out of reach.
For a mortgage broker the website is the front door. Paying heavily for something you cannot change, on a platform you do not understand, is the worst of both worlds.

What we built.
Webgrid built a completely custom website from the ground up: no WordPress, no Shopify, no template underneath. Next.js for the build, Cloudflare in front for security, GitHub for version control and Vercel for hosting, all set up and run by webgrid.
Beyond the site itself, we built mortgage calculators and budget planning tools directly into it: the kind of tooling a broker's clients actually use, and the kind a template platform cannot offer.
From the client's brief and content to a live site took a few weeks, not months.

Webgrid hosts, maintains and backs up the whole thing. When the team wants a design change, they send it through and it gets made: no logins to wrestle, no plugins to babysit.
The custom build came in at a few thousand dollars against the tens of thousands the old WordPress setup had cost. Better design, more flexibility and more capability, for less.
